Safety and environmental management systems
The CORNAGLIA company, more than 100 years of history, has always been committed to reducing the environmental impacts connected to its activities and the risks to the health and safety of its workers. The same commitment and the same attention have been passed down to all the companies of the Group, and that’s why that Cornaglia has decided to develop and apply an integrated environment and safety management system for all companies, in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 14001 standards and UNI ISO 45001.
Environmental and safety performance
Cornaglia assesses environmental and safety performances considering the entire life cycle of the product, from raw materials to waste disposal, through appropriate reference indexes for control and continuous improvement of the production process.
The set of these reference indexes constitutes the Environmental Product Declaration or Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). (view indexes)
Interventions for the improvement of environmental and safety performances
- Installation of a photovoltaic system on the roofs of the plants of:
- Beinasco
- Villarbasse
- Valfenera
- Airola
- Casarza Ligure
- Casalgrasso (LIT)
- Replacement in all Group plants of old burners with "LOW NOX" heat generators with high efficiency and low emissions of Nitrogen Oxides.
- Treatment of industrial waste water with water purification plant in the plants of:
- Casalgrasso (LIT)
- Busano (LIT)
- Replacing the old lighting system with LED lighting to reduce consumption and improve visibility in the departments.
